Hi, I’m Kiley — an educator, advisor, and inclusive leadership advocate with a passion for creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. After 16 years working across six countries in Asia as a classroom teacher, facilitator, and curriculum designer, I’ve transitioned into a new role as an Academic & EDI Advisor for varsity student-athletes at George Brown College in Toronto. Shifting from the classroom to the advising office has been a natural move that still allows me to do what I love most: connect meaningfully with students, champion equity, and support personal growth through education and sports.
My international experience has deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity and provided me with a nuanced understanding of the various paths people take to achieve success. My years abroad not only shaped my worldview but also refined my ability to build trust, adapt quickly, and lead with empathy.
I’ve always been passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen and heard. Over the years, I’ve built programs that elevate student voice, designed identity-driven curricula, led DEI training for fellow educators, and utilized sports as a way to help young people grow as leaders. Whether I’m coaching on the court or meeting one-on-one with a student, my goal remains the same: to build inclusive, resilient, and connected communities.
Thanks for being here.
Cheers,
Kiley
